"BECOMING A GEISHA"
Geisha is a slowly dying Japanese tradition which means “person of art”. A Geisha has to live up to very high expectations, learning to play musical instruments, sing, dance, host parties, carry on intelligent conversation, and generally maintain “the illusion of female perfection”. While the performers are not telling a story, they are attempting to portray the feeling of the life of a Geisha.
Music from the movie, “Memoirs of a Geisha” composed by John Williams.
