The Gates Chili Schools Winter Color Guard has two competing scholastic color guard units. The Varsity Guard competes in the Scholastic Open category and the Junior Varsity or JV Guard competes in the A1 category. Both guards compete in the regional North East Color Guard Circuit (NECGC), and the Varsity guard also competes World Guard International (WGI).
