2007 Gates Chili Schools Winter Colorguard
Junior Varsity
The Gates Chili JV Guard provides students in 8th, 9th and 10th grades the opportunity to perform championship caliber equipment work and inventive dance techniques while benefitting from the expertise of the Gates Chili's seasoned instructional staff.
Baroque-era composer Johann Pachelbel wrote one of classical music's most famous works in his Canon in D, and in 2004, Celtic Irish fiddle virtuoso Eileen Iver performed this piece in her own clever, modern style. Iver's accompanists' pizzicato underpinnings add a rhythmic quality that compliment the familiar melody creating an extraordinary musical layer for the fast-moving, highly-coordinated 2007 JV presentation.
