The Gates Chili Schools Winter Color Guard has two competing scholastic color guard units. The Varsity Guard (purple costumes this year) and the Junior Varsity or JV Guard (brown and gold costumes). The Varsity Guard competes in the Scholastic Open category. The JV Guard competes in the A1 category.
